Boy, am I tired! I started working full time this week at a great music store. I think I'll really like it there, especially when I learn my way around the computer programs and get better shoes. God, my feet are killing me! I'm not even wearing heels. Tomorrow I'm going to go shoping for shoes that can be comfortable all day.
Mostly I've been working in the sheet music department, helping people find things & ringing them up. On Thursday I got to work in the back unpacking and contracting 20 trombones and 60 trumpets. I did the same thing Friday with Snare drum / Mallet kits. It's pretty physical work, but I like just being back there doing my job, not having to wait for anybody. Maybe I can transition to work more behind the scenes, that way I don't have to dress up!
Last week Ez was here & it was so nice to have him around. My mom was out of town, so it was like we were playing house or something. Cute.
Oh, I caved and joined myspace. I had resisted for a long while, but actually I've been enjoying it. It's exactly what I needed. . .another way to waste time online. It's been fun finding old friends & getting in touch with people I don't know so well, but want to know better.
When Ez was here we did some recording for my Port Townsend audition. I've listened to a couple of the mp3s that he sent me & it's tough to listen to myself. I guess they sound alright, but I'm quite critical. I'd like to do some more recording & maybe put some tunes up on my myspace or make a demo. I don't know.
Well, I really miss you guys. I'm glad to be working & meeting new people, but they just can't replace my real friends. I hope you all are doing well.
Love,
Heather
