I tried to post these pictures last night, but my computer pooped out on me.
These pictures are from the wonderful clinic I went to at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival on Saturday, February 25th.
That's Benny in the chair, with Hank Jones!! on the piano, John Clayton on bass, Russell Malone (who looks fabulous by the way) on guitar, and Jeff Hamilton on drums
The one and only Mr. Jones! He's 88 and still sounds brilliant.

Well, that's it. I couldn't get the pictures to do what I wanted them to do, mostly 'cause I'm stupid at computers! If you ever want to hear a funny story about Russell, just ask. It involves lots of champagne, Harry Connick Jr., and farting contests!

Man - looks like a bunch of crappy jazz musicians. I can't believe you would waste your time with them.
HAHA, just kidding!!! I'm jealous! I wish we had jazz artists of stature in Chippewa - aside from me, of course (ha, right). I wish I could see live jazz with good people without having to drive a lot. That'd be sweet. Alas, I'll just have to cherish my CDS ...
Yeah, those guys suck! Good thing I have other friends.
Start a big jazz fest or something in Chippewa to bring 'em in; I don't know the area, but I'm pretty sure there aren't any smokey jazz clubs 'round there.
Boise is no hot bed of jazz, so I too cherish my CDs. . .and plan lots of trips to New York.
