I'm stayed at a pretty nice hotel last night with my mom. At least it was a nice hotel compared to what I'm used to. I just got done eating breakfast down in the lobby & it was probably the best free hotel breakfast I've ever had. I tried to sit away from the television so I could look outside the huge picture windows. I come from such a beautiful place. The Pacific Northwest is one of the most beautiful places in the country. It seems like there is so much that still is unspoiled. Don't get me wrong, I love cities, hell, I plan on being in New York in a few years, but I'm glad I grew up amidst the trees.

My senior year of high school was pretty much a joke. Not musically, but everything else. My friend Hannah and I used to skip class and go play in the river. The river, folks. I'm glad I can tell the differences between ferns, I've seen salmon spawn, and have walked behind many a waterfall.

I guess just eating my bagel and staring at the mountainside dotted with trees made me think about how much I've enjoyed the landscape of my home. Thanks picture windows.
